Calliope is the chiefest and eldest of The Muses and the Goddess of Epic Poetry. She was the first of the Muses to break free from her physical form and has since roamed the thought space inspiring those to create narrative epics. Her contemporary epics have inspired film makers, post modern artists, and other appropriately grand acts of theater and song.
Befitting her status as a goddess of epic literature, she often appears as a glittering blaze of golden light, and is prone to theatrics to bring out a persons creativity. Due to her appearing in glorious golden fashion, she is oft mistaken for an angel or other divine being, much to her displeasure.
