Barachiel was one of the 13 renegade angels that were locked in Heaven's prison that were released due to the Fall.
Biography[]
Barachiel was originally a musing angel that was meant to inspire and motivate humans against injustice. However, she began to motivate her targets into acting just as, if not more savage, than their oppressors. She was locked away in Heaven's prison during Medieval times when she inspired oppressed villagers to burn down their tyrannical lord's castle with innocent people in it.
After the Fall she was free and resumed her overmusing ways as she found no problem with having the humans act beyond restrained if they got what they had prayed for as a result. She indulged in the comforts that man had created such as spas and night clubs. She was soon being tailed by both the Winchesters and Michael's Battalion. However, the Battalion found her first and the Angel Jedediah from the Powers promptly slew her for repeating her crimes.
Facts and Trivia[]
Barachiel's name means Lightning of God which alludes to how inspiration is supposed to 'spark' within humans like they were struck by lightning.
